I had to lead my first assembly last week. I’ve done several class assemblies before, but haven’t really had to say much myself. This was the first one where the focus has been almost entirely on me. It was actually quite scary, standing up there in front of 180 children and 6 members of staff.

I’ve recently been made Assessment Co-ordinator, and one of the issues I’m looking at is how we use teacher assessment to generate fine-graded levels (e.g. 3a). We’re using the Ros Wilson criterion scale to assess writing, and wanted something similar for maths.
